Exercise is more than keeping in shape. It also help with your emotional and mental health, it can also help you improve your self-esteem, keep your mind off problems, and gives a sense of control. In general people who are fit have less anxiety, depression, and stress than people who are not active.

Frequent and regular  exercise boost the immune system and helps prevent "diseases of affluence" such as type 2 diabetes, and obesity. It may help prevent stress depression,  increase sweetness of sleep and act as a non-pharmaceutical sleep aid to treat diseases such as Insomnia.

 It can also help to maintain steady digest and treat constipation and gas, regulate fertility health, and augment and sex appetite. It also helps to keep an individual more attractive. Childhood obesity is a growing global concern and physical exercise can help to decrease it.

Some care provider's call exercise the "miracle" or "wonder" drug- alluding to the wide variety of benefits that it can provide for many individuals. Aside from the health advantages, these benefits may include different social relief for staying active while enjoying the environment of one's culture.

In the United Kingdom two to four hours of light activity are recommended during working hours. This includes walking and standing. In the United States, the CDC/ACS consensus statement and the surgeon Generals said that every audlt should participate in moderate exercise, such as walking, Swimming, and household tasks for minimum of 30 minutes daily. Thus exercise prolong life.
